Us Abbamondi folk…we’re like everyday MacGyvers I tell you. I actually first suggested using the string on an extra air freshener in my car so I’m not totally perfect as a resourceful secret agent, but I promise I’m working on it.

Anyways, after the car problems were finished up, all of us went out to eat at Carino’s Italian Restaurant. We nom nomed, we caught up, and afterwards we all went our separate ways (well, not me–I stayed in my apartment for the evening). It was a very nice visit, all-in-all, and hopefully I’ll get down to South Jersey some time in September/October…

This happened on our way back from Philcon in November 2008, but I’m only getting around to posting it now because…well, I can be forgetful at times. Anyways, Tara is probably going to be the next Mother Theresa. She’s that kind, especially to frozen bees. And she’s allllllllllllllll mine.

I did a good number of things on my to-do list tonight so I treated myself to drawing a cartoon, which in reality is nothing more than a pie chart about True Blood:

I’m also going to take Kelly‘s advice and use this post to its advantage to mention Anna Paquin’s boobs and get a ton of hits. So yeah…Anna Paquin…and her boobs. She’s got two of…’em? Am I right, fellas? Anyways, I’ve finished the first season and can officially say that I like the show. It’s gritty, it’s filthy, it’s my sort of v-story. Can’t wait to watch some more…

Chapter cover art samples for Supertown

Yes, the forthcoming Supertown is going to be a black, white, and gray sort of comic, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any room for color. Each chapter (story arc, in essence) will be getting its own cover art, which will be used in the storyline guide section of the website. Here’s the first two for “Chapter One: Bugs in the War Room” and “Chapter Two: No Trouble Like Zoo Trouble,” respectively:

Supertown header sketch

I hope y’all don’t get tired of me talking about Supertown. It’s basically a project that’s been living in my head for at least a year or so and I’m super excited about it becoming an existence, and well…I just have to emote (for once). Eee. So here’s a sketch of what I’m hoping the comic’s header will look like:

Supertown news and some found sad comics

I’ve recently been pondering about what to do with Supertown since my application to The Rampage Network was turned down. None of the free webcomic hosts really called out to me and I whined a bit online, expecting…well, expecting not much really. Super surprise, though, as LJ reader pixelfish is going to be helping me out with getting Supertown up and running (much thanks in advance to her, and I’m sure there’ll be more thanks to come). So get your insulin shots done with now because the sweet and super adorable comic is most definitely now forthcoming…

Also, while cleaning up some paperwork in my apartment, I stumbled upon sketches of Sad Comics #71, #72, and #73, all three of which I had earlier assumed to be lost. Anyways, enjoy what could have been:
