Supertown header sketch

with one comment

I hope y’all don’t get tired of me talking about Supertown. It’s basically a project that’s been living in my head for at least a year or so and I’m super excited about it becoming an existence, and well…I just have to emote (for once). Eee. So here’s a sketch of what I’m hoping the comic’s header will look like:

My inspiration for this came from the Batman: Black and White covers, #4 to be specific. You should click that. They are beyond awesome. Hopefully I don’t get sued.

Cause I am due for a miracle
I’m waiting for a sign
I’ll stare straight into the sun
And I won’t close my eyes
Until I understand or go blind

#389 – Vacation Ends

Guess who didn’t feel like drawing people for this comic? Go on. Guess.

Hey, who else heard about Batman going a little batty? Where was my old man crush, Sir Michael Caine, when all of this was going on? Where oh where? WHERE WAS BRUCE’S BRITISHY VOICE OF REASON?

Snapple Real Facts #197: The first person crossed Niagara Falls by tightrope in 1859.

The minute you walked in the joint
I could see you were a man of distinction
A real big spender
Good looking, so refined
Say wouldn’t you like to know what’s going on in my mind

#334 – Whiney Roads

with 10 comments

We’re a bit silly. If you don’t get the joke, I don’t know what to tell you…

Now, of all the superhero movies coming out this summer (Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, The Dark Knight), I have to say I’m most excited about the latter. Here’s the newest trailer for it:

Reasons why it’ll rock? My old man crush, Michael Caine, is back as the serenely charming Alfred. The Joker looks to be a great villain. And Tom Cruise’s wife is gone from the film! So there, three solid reasons it should be awesome. Plus, I really enjoyed Batman Begins if only for how they handled the superhero’s plight into knighthood. They didn’t make it cheesy or over-the-top. It was sensible, thoughtful, and actually, um, believable. And we’re talking about a man dressed as a bat here so that’s a good thing. Are you gonna check the new movie out?

Comics for Comic Con (hmm too many cos right there) will start tomorrow…
