Tara’s Breath of Life

with 5 comments

One more for the night:

guestcom

This happened on our way back from Philcon in November 2008, but I’m only getting around to posting it now because…well, I can be forgetful at times. Anyways, Tara is probably going to be the next Mother Theresa. She’s that kind, especially to frozen bees. And she’s allllllllllllllll mine.

So yeah, enjoy. I’ll have to look around and see what else I can post to keep this place happening while I get Supertown going…

Chapter cover art samples for Supertown

with one comment

Yes, the forthcoming Supertown is going to be a black, white, and gray sort of comic, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any room for color. Each chapter (story arc, in essence) will be getting its own cover art, which will be used in the storyline guide section of the website. Here’s the first two for “Chapter One: Bugs in the War Room” and “Chapter Two: No Trouble Like Zoo Trouble,” respectively:

Feel free to start spreading some hype around. I won’t mind one bit.

In a world of doubt and fear
I wake at night and reach to find you near
Lost in a dream, you caught me as I fell
I want more than just a dream to tell

#167 – Spiderweb

with 3 comments

Nothing makes me want to take an hour-long, freezing cold shower more than walking through a spiderweb. I’m shuddering now just thinking about it again. Ugh. Creepy, creepy, creepy. I hope it wasn’t a mommy spider who then decided my nest of hobbity hair was a fine place to raise her billions and billions of babies. My head hasn’t been itchy. I’ll take that as a good sign.

Also, I’ve discovered the joy that is Scrabulous. If anyone wants to play a game with me via e-mail, contact me at pdabbamondi[at]gmail[dot]com. I know there’s some fellow word nerds out there.

#141 – Another Stupid Bug

with 8 comments

This is actually the second or third time this has happened in the last few months. There I am, little ol’ me, just walking around outside enjoying the weather, and thunk! Some stupid bug, probably drunk off its ass, comes flying straight into my head. The nerve! Anyways, it scared the bejesus out of me and made me look like a fool as I swatted air in the middle of the park. I’m sure others thought I was drunk off my ass. I wasn’t. But if one more insect hits me in the head, I’m throwin’ down.

I have no idea what that really means, but meh…they’ll figure it out.

#131 – Buggin’ Out

with 5 comments

At the moment, I’m not sure where Mr. Bug has gone to. By using positive thinking (thanks to watching The Secret on DVD), I believe Mr. Bug decided that my apartment was not fit for him, the missus, and all their eggs so he packed up and moved on out. I think he even left me a little something towards this month’s rent. How nice.

Question: Are you a bug killer?
