Tara’s Breath of Life

with 5 comments

One more for the night:

guestcom

This happened on our way back from Philcon in November 2008, but I’m only getting around to posting it now because…well, I can be forgetful at times. Anyways, Tara is probably going to be the next Mother Theresa. She’s that kind, especially to frozen bees. And she’s allllllllllllllll mine.

So yeah, enjoy. I’ll have to look around and see what else I can post to keep this place happening while I get Supertown going…

GUEST COMIC: Hello, I’m a Tuna and My Name is Herb

Check out this wonderful guest comic for MyLifeComics from Tara the Girlfriend!

But yeah, some people shouldn’t be teachers. In this group, I include people that watch The Hills and think it is real, people that wear sunglasses indoors and at night, as well as people that don’t know the difference between a hard h and a soft h.

So, I have all these comics sketched out on tiny scraps of paper. Seriously, there’s at least ten I want to do before I even start thinking about others. But I’m no longer in a rush. They will go up some time in the future. Plus, once I get an Xbox 360, I’m probably going to drop off the planet. Enjoy the guest comic for the meantime, and I’ll see y’all when I see y’all.

I’m just asking for honesty now
I need a reason to keep you away
A reason to keep you at arm’s length
I never should have let you back in

Awkwardness Arises, Kitty Cat Distracts

Er, moving on…

I attempted to do a guest comic for Real Life Comics, but considering that I’m just a tiny minnow in a big ol’ pond my submission was consummately ignored–not even a reply or hey, thanks–and that its guest comic grace period is now over I’ll just post it here. Enjoy. Sometimes I try, sometimes I don’t. Either way, it’s the same uphill battle:

Cause it seems I get so hung up on
The history of what’s gone wrong
And the hope of a new day
Is sometimes hard to see

Guest Strip #2 – Something in My Ear

with 11 comments

Woo, another guest comic! This one is brought to you by the wonderful Tara and really captures the limits of our affection for one another. I mean really…ear hair. I’m disgusting! And yet…we prevail!

Anyways, let the countdown begin! My vacation officially starts Friday at 5:00 PM! I CAN’T WAIT AND I NEED IT NOW LIKE SO SO SO RIGHT NOW!

Writing news (a.k.a., Kelly, pay attention!)
Sold a short story over the weekend! Tyree Campbell of Aoife’s Kiss wrote to inform me that yes, despite how disturbing it is, he’d like to buy my short story “Nonsense” for the December 2008 issue. Or it might go online. Or in an anthology. It’s up in the air at the moment, but either way, it’s accepted. He already published my dark tale “After Effects” in the March 2008 issue so I guess I haven’t really freaked him out enough. Oh wells. Disturbing it shall be…

This could have been a song about the wind but my words were blown away
I could have sung about tomorrow but I couldn’t find today
Forget about writing about my conversations because I can’t think of what to say
With nothing left to sing about my ax in tune, I got no choice but to sing to you
