026-Falling

It’s here, people.

Should I get away
From the high heels so proud
Is there something different
Life can show me now

The Dance of the Packing Peanuts

020-SootBalls

It was more magical than that trash bag scene in American Beauty, I kid thee not.

Some rules are made with all intentions to break
And she defends it with a warped rationale
And I’ve seen what happens to the wicked and proud
When they decide to try to take on the throne for the crown

I LOVE THE RAIN

with 3 comments

018-RainLover

There’s a 94% chance that if you yourself don’t love the rain that I don’t love you at all.

Tonight I’m gonna have myself a real good time
I feel alive and the world I’m turning inside out
I’m floating around in ecstasy
So don’t stop me now, don’t stop me
Cause I’m having a good time, having a good time

That One Weekend in July 2009

with 5 comments

I dunno… felt like drawing the latest weekend in terms of journal comics again because I do miss doing them from time to time despite having no future plans of returning to them:

016-TheWeekend

How did your weekend turn out?

Feeling independent
I made it through another day
Having a wonderful time
I haven’t felt the sickness
I think i may have scared it away
Looks like I’m gonna be fine

Cleaning the Gutters is Fun for the Whole Family

I’m officially now an expert on the taste of wet pine needles, old leaves, and brown clumps of glob. Thankfully, sometime later, we all had a yummy Thanksgiving dinner, my first since I’ve fallen off the bandwagon and now eat meat like the rest of you animals. The turkey (dark) meat was quite good, but nothing beats Momma Duke’s lumpless mashed potatoes. Her earlier mocking laughter as a shower of crap rained on my head is forgiven for it alone.

Woke up with a bang
And a bug on your face
It crawled in your mouth
And gave you a taste
Of the good life you left behind
But I think you’re gonna be fine

The First Snowflake of the Season

Made you look! Sideways.

Question of the day: So…snow, love it or hate it?

Personally, I’m a big lover. From the Calvin and Hobbes comic strips to Lucy’s first experience in Narnia, snow has always played an important part in many things that I like. My mother hates it and lets this fact be quite known; I merely sympathize with her as much as I can, but otherwise I lurve it. Speaking of Narnia, here’s a photo from two years ago of what my apartment complex looks like all covered in snow:

There seems to be a possibility that we might have a white Christmas this year as well. That’d be yummy, very much so.

I’d throw rose petals at her feet
And feed her all that she could eat
A thousand kisses I would send her
I’d make her be my valentine
I’d wash my mouth with turpentine
I’d even like her if she changed her gender

Dreaming of an Xbox 360 and More

with 5 comments

2008-11-14

EDIT: Oops. That second panel should read “I feel like if I don’t, I’ll do something rash…like buy an Xbox 360.”

Games that are specifically calling to me for the Xbox 360 are Fable 2 (you get a dog!), Oblivion (you get swords and magic spells!), and Fallout 3 (you get to be evil or good or somewhere in the middle/you get a dog!). These are the sort of games that really allow a player to…roleplay. Which is right up my alley. I love the idea of open-world games, and I’ve yet to really play one other than the early PS2 Grand Theft Auto games. Those were okay, but as you know Bob I’m a fantasy junkie. Not a car fiend. So in the mean time I’m trying to beat some ignored games from my collection and save up some cash.

But oh, if when I do get an Xbox 360, I promise y’all the first thing we will do is frolic in a field.
