#305 – No Meat Fridays
The best part of this is that my mother knew what she was doing, knew exactly what was happening, but waited until he’d finished his quesadilla before clueing Dadster in. Now that’s awesome. Hmm, evidently the word can be spelled as clueing or cluing. Which do you prefer?
So, doing some preliminary research has shown me that…buying a website is expensive. At least to me, it is. I’m looking at Dreamhost since they can install WordPress which in turn can install the ComicPress theme and I don’t know…$120 for one year’s worth of hosting with a free domain tossed in to boot. Is that a lot? Is that normal? As you can tell, I’m not that worldly when it comes to knowing these thingies.
Lastly, I’m putting together a small list (no more than five) of the next movies I must own on DVD before I get any others. They are as follows:
- No Country for Old Men
- Pan’s Labyrinth
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
- Sin City
- ???
Um, someone give me an idea for that last spot. Thanks!

I can UN-recommend The Brave One. Superbad was pretty good (if you like stupid humor – but not Will Ferrell kind of stupid humor mind you, a bit more brainy than that).
$120 a year is a decent price. I know a lot of people out there will say you can get one for free, but it usually doesn’t do much for you in the end. I think I paid about $250 a year for mine, but I’ve switched it to a forwarding site that apparently doesn’t forward (still putting off calling them about that). After shelling out the money for a few years I decided to go with the Google payment plan. If it’s free, I’ll use it. I can use Blogger for my thoughts, Picasa for my photos, and (the only non-Google tool) Revver for my videos. Outside of that, it isn’t worth my time. Or money.
And tell your mom she’s an evil temptress. Giving your dad meat when she knew he wasn’t eating it? Shame on her.

I prefer “clueing”
cluing just looks super strange.
As for movies…you know what I think already…so I won’t pressure you with additional titles (okay I will, the director’s cut/special edition of Zodiac, or Michael Clayton, or Sunshine, or There Will Be Blood…)

Hmmm, Zodiac might be an option. I kind of like only buying DVDs of movies I’ve seen already, that way I know I’m at least getting something I liked. I’m not very adventurous in that department, heh. 😛

I can definitely second Superbad if you’re willing to watch a very different style of comedy(aka dumbed down and pretty vulgar). It’s also got a ton of great extra content.
In my opinion the other one on your list, probably above HP(unless you’re like me and really love the series), could be I am Legend. It’s not the action movie they try and portray it as, but an excellent introspective portrayal true to the novel. I thought Will Smith gave a great performance in it.

Oooh, haven’t seen Superbad but I LOVED the 40-Year-Old Virgin. Same sort of humor, I’m thinking. Will definitely keep my eye out for it.
