Kill Yourself Over Tuna

with 11 comments

Attention! Attention! All sandwich shops! You’re going to want to stock up on tuna for the next several Fridays until Lent is over. It is going to be a popular item. That is all.

Also, I walked by the Quiznos today and saw the same girl working so I guess she didn’t end it after all. The weight upon my soul has lifted…

So here I am above palm trees
So straight and tall
You are smaller, getting smaller
But I still see you

Offering a Sign of Peace

with 6 comments

024-PeaceSign

In case it’s not clear on what is happening in that third and final panel, let me use words to explain what my drawing skills cannot: Tara and I were giving each other a sign of peace, first with a peck on the lips and then moving on to kiss each other’s cheek…except we both turned into each other’s face and ended up smushing our faces together. We then spent the next five minutes trying not to giggle over this because, y’know, we were in church.

And it seems that’s not the place where you belong
And it seems that’s not the place where you belong
When there’s no sun and there’s no moon
And there’s no stars, child, have you gone crazy

Paul 01, the License Plate

with one comment

022-LicensePaul

I’ve been thinking about this for some time now, and I can’t quite determine exactly what is being declared on the license plate. Is this a claim that Paul–Pauls in general, actually–is #1, meaning the best of the best, meaning one heck of a trophy-taker, meaning GO TEAM GO? Or is it, in fact, pointing out that the driver of the car is none other than Saint Paul, the first of them all?

Who knows? I’m just a guy that draws comics.

And so I’m reaching out for the one
And so I’ve learned the meaning of the sun
And all this like a message comes to shift my point of view
And watching through my own light
As it tints the shade of you
