We totally didn’t even play using the special Star Wars rules. Accordingly, there is an extra optional rule stating that if a player rolls doubles, they may roll again and get to do one of the following things: player may move token to any space (double ones/hyper-jump), player collects 200 (double twos/Jedi mind trick), player collects 50 from every player (double threes/trade blockade), player draws a Jedi card (double fours), player draws a Sith card (double fives), or player may challenge another player for a property of theirs, unless that player owns all properties in that particular group. Both players roll a die, and whoever has the higher roll takes control of the property; if it is a tie, then the players re-roll (double sixes).
The only one that would’ve helped me was the last one, alas. Oh well, maybe another time. Probably not.
Oh, the flowers of indulgence and the weeds of yesteryear
Like criminals, they have choked the breath of conscience and good cheer
The sun beat down upon the steps of time to light the way
To ease the pain of idleness and the memory of decay
– “Every Grain of Sand” by Bob Dylan
I have nothing to say here that isn’t said in the above comic. More to come, too…
I have, however, created a Flickr account and stolen photos from everyone else and put them up there for y’all to enjoy as if I myself am some sort of photographer extraordinare. I am not. The six photos I actually took are laughable at best. Go here to see ’em! The good photos, people, not the ones I actually snapped.
It’s true. I believe there’s a good reason, too, but that’ll all be explained in another comic…in the future. Anyways, feel free to tell me why it sucks–or why it doesn’t–to have missed some of these. I know most of the iconic images associated with them, just never seen the whole things.
Oh, and though this might scare off a couple of readers, I’ll live on the edge: I saw Star Wars IV, V, and VI when I was 23. Meaning…last January. How’s that for deprived?
EDIT: I guess I added Rocky twice. That’s how much I’ve never seen it! Huzzah!
I like to embellish…a lot.
Have any of you checked out the comics called Mixed Emotions by Rutu Modan? Seriously, some great stuff.
Also, a new dancing storm trooper video was just posted a few days ago. Not quite as good as the Earth, Wind, Fire one…but still fun:
This one’s aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall for me, folks. Sorry.
