Everyone Beats Me At Munchkin, Ha Ha Ha

…just kidding. It’s awesome that Tara and D both wanted to play and learned how to play fast. Munchkin really is a fun game, and though it takes a bit to explain it is always a good time. As for Munchkin Booty, the latest and greatest base set for the card game all about treasure and backstabbing your friends, it’s pretty good. Some classes, of course, are better than others, with pirates being a bit overpowered in their ability to grab treasure cards with ease. The monsters are hilarious…and potentially dangerous, as sharks often follow other sharks into battle. The only disappointing aspect I’d say so far is that the ship cards are kind of bland, even with the slim pickings of enhancers to put on them. Still, it’s a wonderful set to start new gamers on for its simplicity, and every card is written in pirate-speak. Yarr.

Oh, and I just saw that an expansion is almost ready, at the printers…called Munchkin Booty 2: Jump the Shark!!! Eeee!11!!1!

Yes! Yesyesyes! More ships, a new class, and the elusive Moby Duck! I WANT THIS RIGHT NOW.

Barely exists
But he knows what he knows
And he wants to be sure that you see him

Currently, I’m a little under the weather. Not even Michael Scott from The Office saying “these are my party planning bi-atches” can cure me right now. Ugh. Stop making funky noises, stomach. Stop it!

Reader Trina informs me that two rare breeds of shark known as shark rays made their debut at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden last Tuesday. How awesome do they look? Very awesome. I’ve been to this aquarium a few times, and now I have a new excuse to go back for a little looksee. Though I still find it highly disturbing that after walking around and checking out all the cool marine life one can go to the cafeteria and order a fish sandwich.
