The irony is, naturally, that I love people that love to read. But this man, he’s just plain bizarre. He also reads and walks, which I understand people do at the gym, but not in a parking lot.

Anyways, no apology for the lack of updates here. I’ve been busy with the following projects:

  • Supertown – y’know, that comic about kids pretending to be superheroes and stuff that is so sweet your teeth hurt afterwards
  • 30 Days of Women – drawing a woman, one a day, like it’s my job
  • Fallout 3 – not so much a project as an obsession; in short, I love this game

Here on the eve of too long
Where you’ll think I’ve done wrong
Waking in fear of you no more

An Epiphany

Er, yeah. Anyways…

Here’s some fellow journal comics that I’ve been reading and enjoying, which in turn means you should be reading and enjoying them as well:

  • Oh, Arlene! – Great style, light-hearted snippets of life, and every now and then some color!
  • Looks Like Rain – Mmm gorgeous line art. Plus, y’know, the occasional boob or two. Nearly up-to-date in terms of posting comics as they happen.
  • Inkdick – There’s always an adventure with Sir Pranas at the steering wheel.
  • Squid Arms – Kinda random, kinda all over the place in terms of subjects and style and substenance, but maybe that’s why I like it
  • Gingercurls – Dream comics done by Tara, also known around here as that girl who almost always comments first on every post

There, that was fun. Are you reading any that I’m not?

Quiet and pensive
My thoughts apprehensive
The hours drift away
Leaving my homeland
Playing a lone hand
My life begins today

Just a quick post for new viewers

with 3 comments

Hi, everyone coming over to here from Pop Candy! Thanks for stopping by, and have a look around. There’s some 600-plus comics in the archives dating back to November 2006, and while it may look like I haven’t posted anything since the end of December 2008…that is not true.

Here’s the deal. I’m catching up on the backlog of daily journal comics, and when I do post them, I change the date of the post to match that with the comic. So, I’m still here, working and drawing away, despite how it looks.

Eventually this post itself will be backposted to make room for the remainder of the comics. But I felt like a little explanation couldn’t hurt.

That said, enjoy my life!

Um, in case you are having trouble napping on your own, here’s a helpful how-to…

I’ve been stuck on your foreign eyes
They have struck for better boys
We put your lives on our shoulders
But these arms are too weak to hold us

Yup, full of fail. That’s okay though. The sandwich comforted me as much as it could.

And now for a shoutout. Box Brown, creator of Bellen!, also does a side webcomic that’s heavy on the political humor called American’t. It’s pretty swell so go look at it and click links and comment and do the whole lovey-dovey thing.

#385 – Bitsy Goes Golfing

with 5 comments

Yes, another golfing comic. Deal with it. In fact, there’ll be a third one in the upcoming days. Yes, I’m a wee bit more active these days. Long gone are the days where I go to Quiznos, chat up the locals, and draw about the mayhem that ensues…

Bitsy, pay attention to this paragraph. Animal Crossing: City Folk was just announced today, and you can check out the trailer for it here! It’s for the Wii, and you take a bus into the city where all the shops, plus new ones, seem to be. Other than that and a few new holidays to be celebrated, it seems to be the same game as AC: WW, but it is hard to tell. Will have to wait for more information. This might be the sole reason to buy a Wii, I tell you:

Get down, summer in the city!

Get down, summer in the city!

Fuck yes!

Also, Joss Whedon fans unite! Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is absolutely wonderful and well worth watching. It’s got a great cast, a fun plot, and silly songs. By the gods of Kobol are the songs catchy! And it’ll only be up for a short time so get on it now. Okay, that’s enough outta me.

Snapple Real Facts #68: The longest one-syllable word is “screeched.”

It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word

#350 – Be My Girlfriend

…and we can now add dogs to the list of things I have trouble drawing.

So, er, yes, now you all know. Cause I’m thinking suspicions were growing out there. Unfortunately, I have to turn in my Man Club membership card ASAP as this is now my new favorite website in the entire universe…

We’ll cut out bodies free from the tethers of this scene,
Start a brand new colony
Where everything will change,
We’ll give ourselves new names (identities erased)
