Hot Drinks on a Hot Day

with 5 comments

All those words just get confusing after a time: latte, mocha, venti, cappuccino, frappachino, espresso, espresso lungo, espresso Americano, macchiato, ristretto, doppio…

It’s enough to give a person a seizure. But yeah, hot drinks on a hot day…not the best of combos.

My life is like a picture left
Out too long in the sun
Now I’m trying to remember all
The faces of the names i’ve loved
And all that’s left of me now is
A cigarette burning bright
And a fading memory of all the things
I tried to get right

  1. Yeah, not the best of ideas, I’d say.

It IS really hard to figure out what is hot and what’s cold, I really thought we were on the money here, but I guess not, they weren’t too bad, though we were breaking a sweat while drinking it. We made up for it with ice cream a little later though.

  2. You two must’ve simply been delirious from the heat.

I read it once, somewhere, that the British army drank hot tea in India to stay cool. Something about making the body the same temperature as the air. I don’t know, but I read it once, somewhere, that that’s what they did.

  3. Tara: Heh, if only we had the guts to have been like, “Um, not our order!” But it was our order, our dumb-dumb order. Oh wells. We live and we learn…

Trina: Huh, how about that! It sorta sounds like something I’d learn from reading a Snapple lid, too.

  4. Hmm, yes, it was our dumb dumb order :\ Oh wells.

That does sound like it would make sense… Hmm…it must be very hot in India because our body temperatures are already around 97-98 😮 I can’t stand extreme heat, ugh. What happened to our nice autumn weather?

  5. […] you are getting a flash of déjà vu, do not fret. It is true. We flubbed up…for a second time. The drink we ordered this time around is known as the […]
