#368 – Grandmother Passes Away

with 22 comments

Looking at the remainder of comics for the week, seeing the subjects they touch upon, I really don’t see myself writing much down here. I’ll let the art speak for itself, at least for the time being.

Oh, why do they leave?
Oh, why do they leave?
On the day that you needed them the most
Simple cards and things
Rose-colored sunsets, no flowers for me

  2. Aww, darling, you’re the best. That’s right, I said it… ;]

Just you being there when I came back was enough, my dear, you’ve been so great these past few days and I can’t thank you enough ❤

…and my mom really did appreciate you cleaning the dishes, we can’t even get Kate to do that.

    mmm…ps. we’ve been dating for a month 🙂 ❤

  7. Seeing as how many times I do the dishes at home, that was an awesome thing you did Paulie. Too bad you’re taken.

  9. I’m going to start charging people sandwiches on here whenever they use the c-word!

Girly, you owe me a grilled cheese.

  10. Cute! Cute! Cute! There! Got it out of my system now! Do you want them all to be grilled cheese? I make a mean chicken salad sandwich. 🙂

  11. Counting your first mention of the Word of Doom, that’s four sandwiches. Let’s see, let’s see. First, the grilled cheese. Then yes, I’ll try your chicken salad. My third choice is peanut butter and jelly on wheat. Lastly, you can fix me a tuna melt. That’ll teach you!

  12. Ok. Fairs fair. I won’t mention THAT word again! Is there a list of words to avoid that I could refer to for future reference? Ok.. sandwiches coming right up.. looks like I’m out of Tuna though.. would you settle for a ham and cheese??

  13. Tara – that is saddening news. I’m sorry for your loss and glad my brother was there for you! Maybe now that he’s done some dishes, he can get super motivated and come do mine!

  14. I’m sure doing the dishes helped. I always feel better when guests come to our house and do the dishes for me. Also the vacuuming, and the laundry…

  15. Girly: There’s probably a small list building in my mind of words I loath, but the Word of Doom is the big one. I’m not a big ham fan…let’s go with turkey and cheese!

Bitsy: I’ll do your dishes if you can get me a Robo-Lamp. It’s all I need to complete that set of furniture.

Leaf: Would you also like me to scrub your tub? 😛

  16. Thanks everyone :] I do appreciate all your kind words, thank you, thank youuuu.

Yes, Bitsy, your brother is the best, though he’d be the last to admit it! :p

  17. I don’t like turkey.. but, I will make a turkey and cheese just for you.. because you are so c… erm…I mean, clever? creative? consistent? compassionate? I’m sure there are more C-words to describe you, but, that is all I can think of right now 😉

  18. haha don’t worry girly, I’ve slipped and used the c-word in his presence… though i’ve never used it directed at him so I was safe, it was directed at puppies…and otters.

  20. No haha :p but I do cook for him often, so I guess that kind of makes up for it??

    Tara

  21. Well, in that case, Tara.. you should be able to say the C-Word in his presence, directed at him, as often as you want! 😉

  22. Well, I’ll admit, he does a lot of things that COULD classify as such, but he’s more so a handsome fellow than a cute fellow, in my opinion 😉 I’m pretty wise to watch out for what I say, especially if it involves the c-word….I’ll start off, ‘awwh, yeah…that’s so c—charming!”
