#251 – Mean Comment

with 7 comments

Someone posting from a San Diego City School on 4100 Normal Street in California took the time off from their busy schedule to let me know how I’m doing over here. Oh well. I believe someone once said that when you begin to acquire anti-fans, you’re getting bigger.

And hey! Did you know that James Kochalka totally redesigned his website and is now making his archives free (well, at least going back to 2002)? You should go check ’em out because his journal comic eats baby journal comics like mine for breakfast.

Have a nice Monday, y’all.

#250 – Quietly Jealous

with 7 comments

Are you quietly jealous of something? Don’t say cloud drawers. Be original!

My goal for the weekend is to finish all my Christmas shopping, wrap the blasted bounders, and then celebrate with a tribal belly dance. Er, okay…not true. But maybe I’ll take a nap! What are y’all going to be up to?

#249 – Dune

So, I enjoyed the book quite a lot. The movie, however, lacked the depth and emotion that Herbert layered Arrakis and its people with…plus, this had Sting in it. Acting. Ugh, ugh, ugh. The only part of this that I liked was the look of the Bene Gesserit…very creepy, very bald. Bald women for the win (not Britney Spears though)!

SFWA, or Every Dog Has its Day

with 3 comments

This stemmed from this, if you’re curious. Please note that I am an affiliate member of SFWA. Also note that I’m more of a cat lover than a dog lover. No more notes.

200 Sad Comics – #36-40

with 3 comments

Well, since television is officially on its last legs (the only show left I watch faithfully that is still on is Pushing Daisies) I now have some free time to draw really bad/sad comics. Hooray, everyone wins! Enjoy the fapping and kickass moustaches…

#247 – Seeing Bracken

with 10 comments

Black Friday isn’t too bad of a day if you start your shopping in the afternoon. Sure, you miss some sales, but at least you don’t have to elbow people over the latest and greatest deal.

So, for those that watched the finale of Heroes last night, let me ask you all a very serious question. And by serious, I mean serious. If you had the power to walk through walls and came upon a big, meaty vault door, would you:

A) Walk through it
B) Use a ton of energy to try and dismantle it with your brain

Clearly, the writers forgot exactly how Peter freed Adam Monroe from his cell only a few episodes back. This shames me. It just didn’t make sense. All he had to do was walk through the wall and take Adam with him. I hate stupid things like this. I want Season One back. It had some brains, and I’m not talking about the ones that Sylar liked studying. Gah, I don’t know. Such a big letdown.

Mission Haircut was a success. Not even snow could stop me.

Hey, all you beard haters! This guy did an experiment to see if, truly, a beard can keep you warmer. Now stop with all the hating.

So, who else has a case of the Mondays?
