…and you thought your life was exciting!

#244 – Beach House

with 10 comments

The place even had one of those telephones…with a cord. Gah! What is this, the early 1990s?

Anyways, one year ago I decided to draw a comic about my exciting (meaning not exciting) life. Weird. Is this what it’s like to be a father? Not that I birthed this baby of mine or anything…

In lieu of singing happy birthday, feel free to send me cupcakes all day long.

  2. It is, it is! You can roll out of bed and straight into the ocean. Plus, there’s a nice porch for drinking, Scrabbling, and yelling dirty words at old ladies that pass in the streets.

  5. Just tilt your head about 90 degrees and add icing to your nose. There. There’s your cupcake.

Yvonne and I are saving for our 10 year anniversary to spend a week at the Biltmore. It’ll be expensive, but we still have 2 or 3 years to save up.

  8. Biff – the Biltmore is one of the best resorts in phoenix – spas, afternoon tea, luxury…maybe you could save up for me, too, TK42ONE?

  9. Kelly, can I come to Hawaii too? I promise not to make any noise in your suitcase!!

  10. Umm, no. You can’t come Bitsy. While I’m sure you got the hot gene while Paul got the Hobbit gene, I sincerely doubt, and don’t take this the wrong way, that you will be hotter than my wife.

And there is a Biltmore in Phoenix, but I’m referring to the original Biltmore in Asheville, NC. The largest private dwelling in the US. Also home to the Biltmore Inn, where a week will cost an easy $5k. As in $5,000 smackers. A suite, well, that will cost more than I can afford.
