  1. I love sweatshirts! Especially hoodies! Some zip up, some pullover. I wear them year round-early mornings walking the dogs, on the dive boat (especially after a dive when it’s easy to get chilled no matter the time of year), whenever, wherever.

Hoodies: I have a grey one with our old Mustang Club logo embroidered on the “pocket area”, a grey one with Zen Diving Club logo screen printed on the front. I have a burgundy ONeill one, a black WRV one (local surf shop Wave Riding Vehicles.) Another ONeill one in light blue. Hmmm, only five-I thought I had more. I have a sweat “jacket” that I bought in Italy that says “Italia” (duh) across the front.

Crew sweatshirts: too many to mention. Favorites: Virginia Motorsports Park and Outer Banks Dive Center (has a big sea turtle on the back.)

  2. The one with the big sea turtle on the back sounds, by far, to be the bestest. 🙂

  3. It’s my most recent acquisition. I was really torn between buying it in the crew version or the hoodie version. Now I wish I had bought both of them! We’ll definitely be going back, so, hopefully, they’ll still have some in stock. And the sea turtle is awesome. It’s so awesome, I even bought my mom a t-shirt with it on the back.

  4. I don’t own a hoodie or a sweatshirt. What is wrong with me?!

  5. If you lived in New Jersey, you’d own one. Hey, so, congrats on your newfound freedom?

  6. Just further proof that hoodies are for hoodlums.

I prefer plain sweatshirts myself. Or long-sleeve t-shirts or collared shirts. But it isn’t often that I wear long sleeves. Despite the cold, I still prefer short sleeves as my job often gets me overheated (not that job folks, I sit in a cube all day). Which means my fan is on nearly all day, keeping me cool. Long sleeves would not do nice things to my heat/cool ratio.

Yeah, I didn’t understand that last part either.

  7. Hey! Are you calling me a hoodlum? Hoodies are warm and comfortable, and to see me in mine wouldn’t bring to mind “gangsta gal” (is there such a thing?) but maybe lost pixie. (Can I post pics here?)

And how do you get all heated up sitting in a cubicle all day? At least you’re burning some calories!

  8. I, too, am not a hoodlum!

Trina, I’m all about hoodie pics. You would not be the first today to post such a thing, as seen here:

  12. This sounds a lot like my BF. He has two Sweatshirts and one of them is white.
How the heck does he keep it clean?! Not even I know the answer to that. And I suspect I don’t want to know…

  13. My absolute favoritest sweatshirt is a Lehigh one from 1990. The sleeves are frayed and the print is crackled but I can’t part with it. It’s perfect for those cool days, when I’m staying in. I finally threw out the one with the hole in the inappropriate place. It was hard to do!!!

  14. Leaf: Yeah, you definitely DON’T want to know how a guy keeps a sweatshirt clean. 😛

Lisa: I remember seeing that hole. Er, I mean…um….wow…awkward…
