#205 – Bills

Oh my, how profound!

Do you have boring checks like me or fun ones with magicians and dancing bunnies on them?

  1. Well, they’re not as fun as dancing bunnies, but my checks have an international flair: the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Statue of Liberty, and one other one…hmmm, I don’t remember.

I try to pay most of my bills online or through automatic drafts. It’s easier and quicker.

  2. Oooh the Leaning Tower of Pisa! Nice one. And hey, how was your vacation? 🙂

  3. It was AWESOME! (thanks for asking). So much walking & sightseeing, so much history & artwork, so much pizza & pasta, so much birra & vino & caffe lattes, so many gelatos and chocolate filled cornettos! I need one of those smiley faces rolling around holding its stomach in a mixture of ecstasy and agony.

  4. Mine have the wells fargo stagecoach on them. They are the cheap ones – but I wish I could get the ones with beach scenes.

  5. Ditto on the online payments. Saves so much time and money – well, a little money on postage.

Our checks have the Care Bears (yes, those warm, fuzzy, make-you-feel-good cartoon characters from teh 80s). While it wasn’t exactly my first choice (spartan checks work just as well and are cheaper), I was willing to spring for anything 80s. But Smurfs would have been better. And Gummi Bears. How funny would that be to have a Gummi Bear check that bounces!

  7. Boring because I’m too poor to pay for anything fancy.

  8. Trina, those Star Wars checks are pretty nifty. Though I don’t spot any ones with a Storm Trooper on ’em, which will make our friend TK42ONE a wee bit loony.

  9. They do have a Boba Fett leather checkbook cover–he’s like some kind of storm trooper, isn’t he?

  10. Um, no, Boba Fett is not a Stormtrooper. He’s a Mandalorian. He was the DNA source of the Clone Troopers. Clone Troopers look very similar to Stormtroopers, but they’re different. Trust me.

And yes, I thought about Star Wars checks, but decided against it.
